APPG for the Timber Industries AGM

This week the APPG for the Timber Industries held its Annual General Meeting in Parliament.

We are delighted to announce that Baroness Sue Hayman of Ullock and Tonia Antoniazzi MP were elected as chairs of the APPG.

Both Sue and Tonia bring a wealth of parliamentary experience and a real passion for decarbonising the built environment. We look forward to working closely with them in 2023.

We are also pleased to announce an expansion of the APPG, with seven new parliamentarians joining the cause for low-carbon timber construction.

The new makeup of the APPG is as follows:

Chair(s):

Tonia Antoniazzi MP (Labour)

Baroness Hayman of Ullock (Labour)

Vice-Chairs:

Ben Lake MP (Plaid Cymru)

Martyn Day MP (SNP)

Alex Norris MP (Labour)

Karin Smyth MP (Labour)

Malcolm Sinclair, 20th Earl of Caithness (Conservative)

The CTI are now in the process of planning a full APPG events calendar for next year.
