CTI promoting Industry collaboration at Timber Expo 2017

The Confederation of Timber Industries (CTI) is glad to be exhibiting again at Timber Expo, the timber dedicated show taking place at the NEC, Birmingham, from 10 to 12 October 2017.

Championing a collaborative approach across the UK Timber Industry, the CTI will share the Stand T445 with three major trade organisations in the Sector: the British Woodworking Federation (BWF), the Structural Timber Association (STA) and the Timber Trade Federation (TTF).

The renewed All Party Parliamentary Group  for Timber Industries meets at Westminster

The Confederation of Timber Industries (CTI) is delighted to announce the reconstitution of the Timber Industries All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), following the general election held on 8th June.

The renewed APPG held its first AGM on Wednesday 12th July at the House of Commons.

Roy Wakeman OBE appointed new CTI Chairman

Roy Wakeman OBE has been appointed new Chairman of the Confederation of Timber Industries (CTI). He succeeds Peter Hindle MBE, who stepped down last autumn.

Mr Wakeman will coordinate the new CTI strategy encouraging best practise and boosting a wide collaboration among the leading trade organisations and companies across the Supply Chain.

On Tuesday 28th February 2017, the Confederation of Timber Industries [CTI] held a seminar at the House of Commons outlining how the UK Offsite Timber Manufacturing industry can help deliver the ambitions of the Housing White Paper.

Timber Frame Offsite Construction is the most effective, proven solution to meeting housing demand. The industry has a current capacity of 100,000 units per year and could easily scale up to 150,000 given the right policy frameworks
