CTI round table on Skills & Education | 25 April 2016 | London

On Monday 25 April 2016 the CTI working group on Skills & Education will meet at the Building Centre in London.

Following the round tables on Sustainability and Value & Growth, this meeting will gather CTI supporters and stakeholders to discuss the state of Skills and Education within the Timber Supply Chain.

In particular senior representatives from across the Timber Industry, UK Universities and Research institutes will debate key themes including: - Where are the skills shortages and skills gaps? - Do colleges and universities engage with timber businesses?- Does the industry want to take on more apprentices? - What are the policy barriers?

The discussion will be facilitated by Proskills which will illustrate the draft CTI report on Skills & Education.

The report - to be published in the Spring of 2016 - contains the results of CTI & Proskills employer skills questionnaire launched in January, along with Industry insights, statistics and recommendations to tackle skills gap issue.
