CTI Parliamentary seminar on Skills, Productivity and Growth postponed

Following the Prime Minister’s decision to hold a general election, and the overwhelming support for this in yesterday’s Parliamentary vote, the Confederation of Timber Industries (CTI) in accordance with the Timber Industries APPG Chairman Ian Paisley MP, decided to postpone the Parliamentary seminar meeting on Tuesday 25th April and re-convene in the Autumn.

CTI Director Iain McIlwee commented: "It is a shame we had to cancel the meeting but, with Parliament being disbanded to make way for the election, many MPs will be focused on finishing last-minute business, while others will be heading back to their constituencies. We will reschedule the event later in the year when the political situation will be clearer and we could secure a consistent involvement of MPs in the meeting."

"In the meantime, the CTI will follow closely the electoral campaign promoting Timber Industries case to candidates and key decision makers."
